Topping out ceremony for the Accelerator Laboratory held on 28 Ocotber 2010(30.11.2010)

The Topping out of the renovation of the Accelerator Laboratory on the Kumpula Campus was held on 28 October 2010. The renovation will be completed in stages. The repairs of the accelerator halls were completed in the autumn of 2010, and the research ewuipment is currently being prepared for use. The administrative and teaching facilities of the building will be ready for use in the early spring of 2011.

The building and facilities will be renovated to meet the requirements of the Faculty of Schience of the University of Helsinki. The scope of the project is approximately 4,000 GSM and the facility is expected to be ready for use in the spring of 2012. The leading contractor for the project will be SRV.
