Project plan for the renovation of the Observatory approved (15 June 2010)

The board of Helsingin Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy decided on 15 June to launch the planning for the renovation of the University’s Observatory building.

The building will be renovated according to the requirements of research in astronomy at the University of Helsinki and the public service centre. The scope of the project is approximately 1,800 GSM and according to the plans, the building will be ready to be taken into use in the spring of 2012.
